URGENT WARNING – DIAC Visa Fee Increases as of 1 September 2013

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship have announced that as of 1 September 2013 visa application charges will be significantly increased. The majority of visa application charges have been increased – the list below is a few examples of the fee changes.

Visa Fee Increases:

• Partner Visas (subclass 820/801)

1. Main applicant charge:  from $3975 to $4575
2. Each additional applicant over 18 years: from $1990 to $2290
3. Each additional applicant under 18 years: from $995 to $1145

• Prospective Marriage Visa (subclass 300)

1. Main applicant charge: from $2680 to $3085
2. Each additional applicant over 18 years: from $1340 to $1545
3. Each additional applicant under 18 years: from $670 to $770

• General Skilled Migration (subclass 189/190)

1. Main applicant charge: from $3060 to $3520
2. Each additional applicant over 18 years: from $1530 to $1760
3. Each additional applicant under 18 years: from $765 to $880

• ENS/RSMS (subclass 186/187)

1. Main applicant charge: from $3060 to $3520
2. Each additional applicant over 18 years: from $1530 to $1760
3. Each additional applicant under 18 years: from $765 to $880

• Temporary Work – Skilled Visa (subclass 457)

1. Main applicant charge: from $900 to $1035
2. Each additional applicant over 18 years: from $900 to $1035
3. Each additional applicant under 18 years: from $225 to $260

• Visitor Visa (subclass 600)

1. Main applicant charge: from $115 to $130

• Contributory Parent Visa (subclass 143)

1. Base applicant charge from $2060 to $2370
2. Each additional applicant over 18 years: from $1030 to $1185
3. Dependent child under 18: from $515 to $595
4. Second Visa Application Charge (per person) from $42 220 to $48 550

• Contributory Aged Parent (subclass 864)

1. Base applicant charge from $3060 to $3520
2. Each additional applicant over 18 years: from $1530 to $1760
3. Dependent child under 18: from $765 to $880
4. Second Visa Application Charge (per person) from $42 220 to $48 550
