The Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) has announced a new Subclass 600 Visitor Visa – Frequent Traveller Stream for those who travel often to Australia for tourism or business visitor activities.

Are you a passport holder or citizen of one of the following countries?

• People’s Republic of China
• Brunei
• Cambodia
• Philippines
• Laos
• Indonesia
• Malaysia
• Singapore
• Thailand
• Vietnam
• Timor-Leste

If so, a new Australian visa option may be available to you: the Subclass 600 Visitor Visa – Frequent Traveller Stream.

This visa is designed for frequent travellers, allowing multiple entries into Australia on a single visa.

The Frequent Traveller Stream may be granted for up to 10 years, providing the convenience of multiple entries on one long-term visa.

With this visa, you can:

• Holiday in Australia;
• Visit family and friends; and
• Undertake eligible business visitor activities (this visa does not provide work rights in Australia).

For most applicants from the eligible countries listed above, the current DOHA application fee is AUD $1,845.00*.

This visa has some limitations and does not allow an Applicant to apply and stay in Australia full-time for ten years.  Specifically:

• You can stay in Australia for up to 3 months per visit, with a maximum stay of 12 months in any 24-month period; and
• Visa extensions are not permitted.

As with all Australian visas, additional conditions may apply depending on your personal circumstances and the DOHA’s assessment of your application.

The Frequent Traveller Stream can be an excellent option for traveller who want the convenience of a long-term, multiple-entry visa.
