Important Announcement for NSW Nominations (sc190)

We have recently received notification from the Migration Institute of Australia that New South Wales (NSW) has stopped accepting nominations for subclass 190 Skilled Visas as of the 24th of December 2013 and will not start accepting them again until July 2014. This has a massive impact on all NSW Nominations (subclass 190).

This change has occurred very suddenly and without any prior warning or consultation with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) and industry professionals. As such we don’t believe this change is fair to people who have been preparing a nomination and didn’t get it in before this silent deadline. Many people have been negatively affected by this change however unfortunately there is nothing we can do but wait until the State starts accepting nominations again.

We have spoken to NSW Trade and Investment and they advised that any applications lodged and received before the 24th of December 2013 will still be processed but may experience some significant processing delays and will take more than their advertised 12 weeks. Any nominations lodged after that date will likely not be processed or returned.

We will update you as soon as NSW begins accepting nominations for subclass190 Skilled Visas again.
