Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL) Update
In recent immigration news, visa applicants who have an occupation that is listed on the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL), could be eligible to apply for Western Australian State nomination using either:
- Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190); or
- Skilled Regional (Provision) visa (subclass 489).
The status for the below occupations on the WASMOL is available for State nomination in Western Australia.
If you wish to apply for Western Australian State nomination, you must show relevant work experience either in Australia or overseas in the nominated occupation. Applicants are required to show a minimum one-year work experience when applying. The occupations on the WASMOL may change and close at various types so it’s important to check the availability before applying.
According to the Western Australian Government, all State nomination applicants will compete with all potential employees in the Western Australian labour market.
A new graduate stream will be available for eligible applicants for State nomination from Western Australia and more information on the new graduate stream will be available in the coming months.
